  Veneers

  Dental Implants

  Dental implants are posts made of titanium or ceramic that are surgically placed in the jawbone. They act as prosthodontic tooth roots, providing much-needed stimulation to your jaw to prevent deterioration. Dental implants are combined with other restoration treatments like dentures, crowns, and bridges to replace one or more missing teeth. Implants are surgically placed in the jaw and fuse to the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. These titanium or ceramic posts provide stimulation to your jawbone that helps keep it strong and healthy.   Dentures

  Implants are the only restorative dentistry procedure that can stop and prevent jawbone loss. When you are missing a tooth, the jaw no longer receives stimulation from the tooth root. Without that stimulation, the bone can begin to deteriorate. Dental implants act as prosthetic tooth roots to provide that stimulation and keep your jaw healthy. Because traditional dentures rest on the gums and rely on adhesives, there is the possibility for them to slip. Implant-supported dentures are different. Dental implants are surgically placed directly into the jawbone, and your dentures are then secured to the implants. There is no risk of them slipping off your gums when you chew or talk.

  Dental Crowns

  We use CEREC® to provide patients with dental crowns in one day. Dr. Michael J. Appleton or Dr. Christopher Braud will take digital images of your prepared tooth, which are transmitted to a computer that creates a three-dimensional map of your tooth. Impressions will be taken of the tooth, and they will be sent to a lab where technicians will fabricate your restoration. If you select a traditional lab-created crown, the dentist will supply a temporary crown while you wait for your permanent restoration, which will take about two weeks to make.
